                              Classes

                              *A few general reminders:
                              • Please try not to eat heavy meals at least 3 hours before a class and light meals one and a half hours before. If you are really hungry have some yoghurt twenty minutes before or a banana.
                              •  Try not to drink fluids 20 minutes before or during a class, don't worry you will not dehydrate.
                              • For hygiene reasons please bring a towel to place over your mat.

                              Hatha Yoga

In hatha yoga we usually begin with a short meditation, warm up exercises, breath work, moving into a 'salute to the sun' (surya namaskar); a set of free flowing movements (body) balanced with the breath (mind).
We then move into deeper, static postures (asanas) which challenge the mind and deepen the breath and finish with a deep relaxation (shavasana)

                              Vinyassa

The breath is integrated with each asana and emphasis is placed on alignment and developing profound body awareness. Starting with simple stretches to open the body and calm the mind the class progresses to a series of flowing sequences that become more challenging depending on the level of the class.

                              Alchemic yoga

In this class we are aiming to move through the body's fluids, to increase circulation and the flow of the lymphatic system, concentrating on the organs and glands of the body. This class has a mix of yoga, chi kung and breath connecting with movement. This class is a flowing style of yoga which has tremendous benefits toward self healing and letting go. The most common outcome of this class is that you finish with a feeling of happiness and well being no matter how you felt when you first walked in the room.

This yoga is based on the seasons and the elements of nature, balancing body, soul and spirit and the chakras. You will develop a deep understanding of yoga and your inner (universal) nature.

                              Yoga Nidra (conscious deep sleep)

Lay down and relax as you are guided through a meditation to help you release the stress of daily life, to change and create something more desirable in your life. Each night will be of a different topic according to those who attend.

Yoga nidra takes you into a slight hypnotic state where you are able to re programme that which no longer serves you; mental, emotional and physical stress and discomforts. You may be relieved from high blood pressure, anxiety, heart palpitations, unsteady mind and nervous stress, as well as sleeplessness.

It is a form of visualisation and gentle breathe work, tangible for all walks of life
