You’re invited to an afternoon of yoga and coffee… to relax during a session of resorative yoga and then enjoy coffee and a something sweet downstairs at Barzura.
Restorative yoga is gentle, focuses on relaxation and doesn’t require any previous experience in yoga. However if you are carrying serious injuries, please tell the instructor on the day.
COST? Free, as it’s sponsored by the Lions Club of Sydney, Defence & Emergency Services.
WHY? This is a chance to try yoga and then head downstairs to Barzura for coffee and cake, to talk to old friends and meet new people.
WHO? There are spaces for twenty women who are are either veterans of the ADF, or who are serving or have served in uniformed police, fire and rescue or ambulance services.
WHERE? Level 1 62 Carr St Coogee (overlooking Coogee Beach, above Barzura Cafe). Please note that the only access to the yoga studio is up a steep set of stairs, so if you’re on crutches, it will be difficult to access.
HOW? To get there, you can catch any bus to Coogee, and walk to the south end of the beach. If you are driving, there is free 4 hour parking round the corner, in Beach St and Neptune St but be prepared to park further away and walk.
